The National Cancer Institute’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences welcomes applications from qualified candidates for a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) fellowship with the Implementation Science (IS) team.
The selected fellow will work on health communication activities to increase the breadth, depth, and quality of dissemination and implementation (D&I) research in cancer control via science writing, digital strategy, and dissemination. Implementation science is the study of methods to promote the adoption and integration of evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies into routine health care and public health settings to improve population health. This discipline is characterized by a variety of research designs and methodologies; partnerships with key stakeholder groups (e.g., patients, providers, organizations, systems, and/or communities); and effective integration of evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies into routine health settings.
This full-time position is based in Rockville, MD, and provides outstanding opportunities for training and professional development in D&I research and applied communication. The position is a one-year, full-time CRTA fellowship with a possibility for renewal. The stipends for CRTA fellows are adjusted yearly and are commensurate with academic achievement and relevant experience.
