Oregon Health Authority VISTA Leader

Degree Required: Bachelors

The VISTA Leader will be responsible for leading the spring team consisting of 12 VISTA team members, and supporting the full team of approximately 37 members in partnership with the fall team and mid-year VISTA Leaders. The Leader serves as an ambassador, facilitator, educator, liaison, mentor, recruiter, and resource generator for the team. Responsibilities include planning training for VISTA members, coordinating travel, resolving conflict, solving problems, managing social media content, public speaking, and engaging in professional development. VISTA members across the state serve to fight poverty, and the Leader position plays a critical role in assisting with these efforts. The VISTA Leader position is open to former VISTAs, AmeriCorps members, or Peace Corps volunteers who demonstrated exemplary skills and leadership in community service and will have completed their service before the end of March 2019.
