Description of Work

The North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH) is seeking a communications professional to assist with website design and maintenance, graphic design, and general marketing and promotion tasks.

This primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure the NCIPH website and other related program sites are current, complete, and in compliance with the UNCGillings website templates and standards. This position also assists with promotion efforts across multiple channels for training courses, projects, and general NCIPHactivities.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills:
Proficiency in the following technologies is essential to the role: WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and DreamWeaver or similar HTML editing software. Must demonstrate competency with graphic design and ability to maintain NCIPH and UNC Gillings branding and style guidelines.

Preferred:
Ideally, applicants will have experience with broader communications skills, including social media management, content development and creation, and management of newsletters and marketing emails. Experience with video editing and the ability to copy edit print and online materials are also preferred.
