Requires a bachelor’s degree with coursework in public health, informatics, biostatistics, statistics, information sciences and/or a related degree. Also requires two years of experience conducting data analysis or a master’s degree in public health, business, public administration, sociology, or informatics. Preference will also be given to individuals with at least one year of data analysis experience, including using advanced data analysis software, such as SAS and GIS. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs), writing articles for peer-reviewed journals, and giving oral presentations.

North Dakota has an immunization information system (IIS) that collects and consolidates vaccination data for all North Dakotans. The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) receives federal funding to maintain higher standards of data quality in the IIS, routinely analyze data for programmatic decision-making and complete evaluation activities using IIS data. The NDDoH partners with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to track patterns in immunization practices and assess vaccination coverage among North Dakota residents. This position is located in the NDDoH Immunization Program and is responsible for assisting the NDIIS Manager with completing NDIIS activities for North Dakota.
