The Atrius Health Administrative Fellowship is a one-year training program for recent MBA, MHA, MPA or MPH graduates who are looking to develop their leadership and management skills in a value based ambulatory healthcare operations.
To ensure a well-rounded fellowship experience, the fellow starts the fellowship by attending senior executive meetings and retreats, one-on-one meetings with the C-Suite leaders and executive directors of each service line. Some of the meetings and events the fellow attends on regular basis are:
The goal of these meetings is to provide a fundamental understanding of ambulatory healthcare operations, Atrius Health’s management structure and priorities, and as an opportunity to identify potential projects for the fellowship year. Projects are selected in alignment with fellow’s interest and organizational priorities. Once all the potential projects have been identified, the fellow and preceptors decide the specific high impact operational and business-oriented projects the fellow will lead and participate. Project will be in a variety of areas but not limited to:
Fellow will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Their role as executive sponsors is to guide and mentor the fellow throughout the program and help him/her develop career objectives and goals. In addition, each project has a preceptor assigned to, who will help guide the fellow from initiation to completion of the project. The Administrative Fellow is informally evaluated on each project and formally evaluated twice on the overall performance.
