The Department of Internal Medicine and the Markey Cancer Center is seeking a doctorally-prepared faculty member, with a background in biostatistics and bioinformatics. This non-tenure track faculty position will support the ever-growing cancer clinical trial activities at the NCI-Designated Markey Cancer Center. This position will predominantly be involved in team science collaborative efforts with clinical investigators and clinical research staff to implement and monitor IITs, to develop methods to measure adherence to protocol specifications (including data monitoring in terms of completeness and quality, enrollment monitoring, and other processes) that will enhance quality of trials conducted at the Markey Cancer Center.
In addition, this position will provide support to existing senior faculty in the BB SRF who already have extensive workloads in IITs. As such, this position will be expected to use state-of-the-art biostatistical methods to lead in statistical design of cancer clinical trials. Appropriate statistical input on the conduct of trials will be expected. Implementation of existing methods and/or development of new methods or processes that enhance trial conduct (e.g. implementation of effective monitoring methods) will be expected.

Statistical software: R and SAS
Demonstrated ability to prepare, present, and publish written and oral summary of sections of clinical trial protocols as well as findings from trials in peer-reviewed outlets and in non-peer reviewed reports to data safety monitoring committees, protocol review committees, and other relevant groups/committees.
