The Cancer Screening Navigator is responsible for coordinating and implementing Community Outreach and Engagement activities and conducting Community-Facing Navigation for the Duke Cancer Institute [DCI] through the Office of Health Equity [OHE] by providing resources to community members and patients that seek cancer education, screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Community Outreach and Screening – 70% Effort
Community and Research – 10% Effort
Data – 10% Effort
Leadership – 5% Effort
Ethics – 5% Effort
Basic Life Saving [BLS] certification from the American Heart Association or Duke approved equivalent course is a requirement of this position.

The preferred candidate will have experience in patient navigation or case management, a second language is a plus.
Qualifications Required At This Level
Work requires a bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology or a related allied health field.
Two years of experience working in a related field. A master's degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
Or and equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
